University Students’ Exchange Visit to Oil-Affected Communities
The field exchange learning visits provided university students with an opportunity to engage directly with communities affected by oil and gas projects. Students interacted with community members, local leaders, and other stakeholders to learn about the social, economic, and environmental impacts associated with oil development. The visits enabled students to gain practical insights into community experiences, livelihoods, environmental concerns, and the challenges faced by people living in oil-affected areas. The exchange also encouraged knowledge sharing between students and communities and helped students connect classroom learning with real-life experiences
