Our Climate Justice and Renewable Energy Program focuses on addressing the disproportionate impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities while promoting a just transition to sustainable energy systems. In Uganda, climate change has intensified droughts, floods, and food insecurity, disproportionately affecting marginalized groups, including women, youth, and indigenous communities.

This program advocates for equitable policies and actions that prioritize the needs of those most affected by climate change.

We work to empower communities to adapt to climate impacts through capacity building, sustainable agriculture, and conservation initiatives.

At the same time, we promote the adoption of renewable energy solutions such as off-grid solar, clean cooking stoves, use of briquettes  and wind power to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and mitigate environmental degradation. By supporting community-led renewable energy projects, we aim to enhance energy access, reduce poverty, and foster resilience. Our program champions climate justice by ensuring inclusive participation and prioritizing fairness in climate and energy transitions.
